On the Words I Needed on Days When Encouraging Words Felt Far Away

There were days when encouraging words felt far away.
“You’ll be okay.”
“Look forward.”
“It will get better.”
Even when those words were not wrong,
they sometimes felt distant from where I actually was,
almost like comforting phrases that did not belong to my reality.
What I needed on those days may not have been stronger encouragement,
but small, natural words
that softly stayed close to how I actually felt.
In daily life,
there were days filled with problems,
and days when heavy anxiety weighed on my mind.
There were also days when I simply could not feel settled,
or days that felt heavy for reasons I could not clearly explain.
On such days,
trying to force myself to “cheer up”
often made things feel even harder.
Over time, I came to feel
that not being able to be positive was not weakness,
but something natural.
I slowly began to believe
that each day has words that fit that day,
and each person has words that fit who they are in that moment.
For example,
“I will take what I can do right now, one thing at a time, one step at a time, steadily and patiently.”
I was helped many times by words like that—
plain, ordinary words without decoration.
That is why, in Happiness Navi Pro AI,
the former “Quotes” feature was rethought
as Gentle Words
that softly meet the user’s feelings for the day.
They are not meant to strongly push someone forward.
They are meant to be received
as words that help someone quietly look at where they are,
without denying themselves.
They are not exactly words to make someone feel instantly better,
nor are they words that simply declare, “You are fine as you are.”
Rather, I wanted them to be
natural words that could quietly stay
close to how someone is feeling.
The state of the mind and body
cannot be restored by words alone.
That is why Happiness Navi Pro AI was designed
to let users record sleep, stretching, walking, gratitude, and a short daily note,
while quietly reflecting on each day.
Continuing small habits.
Noticing one’s present state.
Reading small hints that may help things feel lighter,
and encountering natural words when needed.
Through that kind of accumulation,
I came to hope
that it might become possible to slowly regain one’s rhythm.
If strong words do not feel right to you right now,
perhaps you do not need to force yourself to become cheerful.
Even if they are not encouraging words,
words that softly stay close to how you feel
may still become support for that day.
That feeling is where
Gentle Words came from.
Even on days when encouraging words felt far away,
I was glad that there were words
that softly stayed close to how I felt.
Happiness Navi Pro AI is meant
to offer that kind of small support.
